NOVEMEBER IS GUM AWARENESS MONTH 👄

2 in 5 adults do not regularly see dental professionals, so knowing what the symptoms of gum disease are and how it can impact your life is super important ! Early detection is key 🔑 and prevention is better than cure!

If left untreated, gun disease can:
*cause tooth loss
*affect speech and eating
*reduce self esteem
*reduce quality of life
*affect general health and well-being

Another misconception people have is that heathy teeth mean healthy gums and vice versa… this is not the case. It is important for us to get the message across that teeth and gums although in the same region are different entities completely and therefore the right dental profession should be sought after. This is why everyone should be seeing a hygienist a minimum of once per year to have their gums fully assessed and a deep clean and a dentist to check the teeth are in check.

We thought we would start of our followers day by busting a very common dentistry myth!

Many people are under the misconception that after they have had tooth straightening they do not need to do anything in order to maintain their straight smile… but oh they are so wrong!!! 😰

Once done with your tooth straightening journey you will need to wear a retainer just at night time for the rest of your life or for as long as you wish to keep your now perfect smile 🤩

Imagine paying all that money 💰 to get your teeth straightened and then not wearing your retainers and having to spend that money all over again 😱 wearing retainers is a small price to pay for long term preservation of having the straight smile you deserve😁
