However there has been a dental practice at 115 Court Oak Road, for well over 60 years. Dr Harold Edwards originally began the practice in 1947 and worked for almost 30 years with his partner and brother-in-law Dr H M Zeffert. When Dr Edwards retired the practice was taken over by one of their associates Dr Anthony Foster who became a partner in 1968. Dr Foster acquired a reputation as an excellen

t dentist and he worked here full time until 1997. Dr Boota S Ubhi took over the practice in 1997 after completing his postgraduate specialist studies. Since then the practice has seen major changes including having been renovated twice. The most recent renovation saw the addition of consulting rooms, a dedicated surgical suite and a large postgraduate teaching room added to the building. New staff facilities and a purpose built waiting room were also added to the building at the same time . The practice has acquired both national and internationally recognised reputation for both its clinical work and for teaching postgraduate courses to qualified dentists. Incidentally both Dr Zeffert and Dr Foster and their families still come back for treatment!

Tier 4 Announcement 30/12/20 :

***BPI Dental Still Open***

As the government has announced that we will be going into Tier 4 from 31st December 2020. This does not affect medical services and we would like to reassure all our patients that BPI Dental will still be open from the Monday 4th January 2021. We have all the Standard Operating Procedures in place and have had so since June 2020.

We will still be triaging patients 24 hours before to make sure that they have no symptoms and your temperature will still be taken at the practice. Please do wear a face mask at all times until you are told to remove this by the dental professional.

If you are shielding or in the vulnerable group please let us know and we can re arrange the appointment.

BPI Dental Remains Open- National Lockdown Announcement 31st October 2020

This evening Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced a second national lockdown due to the rising number of cases of Covid-19.

BPI Dental will still be open. There are no restrictions with regards to medical treatment and you are actively encouraged to keep your appointments. At BPI Dental we have all the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and will continue to follow our high standards in cross infection control.

What next?

Please continue to attend your appointments. We have excellent infection control procedures along with a robust triaging policy to ensure the safety of both patients and staff.

If you are worried about your attendance please contact us to discuss your concerns and we can always postpone your treatment till a later date.

We continue to recommend that patients in the high-risk category delay non-essential treatment until further guidance has been given by the relevant authorities.

When you arrive:

We advise that you wear a mask at all times while inside the dental practice and only remove your mask at the request of the dental professional. We will continue to check your temperature and if this is above 37.8C, you will be advised to rebook your treatment and to follow government guidelines. Please do not arrive more than 5 minutes early for an appointment due to social distancing guidelines.

As you enter the building you will need to use the alcohol disinfectant rub to disinfectant your hands.

The treatment rooms will be prepared prior to your appointment with all surfaces disinfected after each patient. The air purification units will continue to be used throughout the day in each surgery. We have sourced PPE and unlike the start of the Pandemic (March 2020 in the UK), there is no shortage.

Please do not be concerned as we continue to maintain high standards of cross infection control.

Stay safe and please contact us if you have any questions.

Kind regards

Dr. BS Ubhi & BPI Dental Team
