Okay sooo, I’ve been posting a lot about skin, despite my bread and butter being dentistry. Why? My skin has NEVER been great, I’ve gone from clinic to clinic, treatment to treatment and never quite been satisfied because my skin was still not HEALTHY. That’s what’s led me to this new PASSION journey which started 3 years ago. No insult to anyone but I was always sold skincare regimes with marketing fluff and no real skin science behind it. Thaaaat has changed and everything finally clicks and I CANNOT wait to help my clients understand everything I now know🤭!!! Just a little something for you to take away
* your skin is a living organ
* the most crucial vitamin your skin needs to be healthy is VITAMIN A also known as retinoid which comes in several forms; an oil form, alcohol form and an acid form.
* Vitamin A is destroyed every single day by heat, light and air, so yeah you’ve got it we’re deficient in vitamin A.
* Now you’re going to say oh I’ve tried ‘retinol’ before and it ruined my skin. But If I’ve just told you this crucial vitamin is the difference between your skin ageing and your skin thriving then stay reading. The oil form of retinol is the one you need, it’s the one your own skin stores so it’s basically speaking skin language.. it’s the one your skin will tolerate.
* It doesn’t stop there, once you start using vitamin A your skin becomes healthier and your skin thickens which makes further product pe*******on more difficult. That’s why we need to continually increase the concentration of vitamin A and educate you on how to needle your face at home to enhance the pe*******on of products.
BUT how do you increase the concentration when retinoid/retinols (vitamin A) on the market are labelled as a % or as 0.25, 0.5 etc. Retinoid is measured in something called IU which you will never come across and a certain quantity is required to be effective.

That’s a snippet of the skincare industry scam x basically sick of the skincare industry, marketing scam & to wasting money.

If you’re actually serious about skin health, skin longevity and beauty for a lifetime, book for a consultation☺️.

Sorry that was long x

Before ➡️ After ✨ (wish I removed the eye make thoroughly first🥲)
3 sessions, 2 weeks apart.
Further sessions would be beneficial for further improvements but oh my goshhhh the hollowness under the eye, the lift of the eyelid !!! This is without Botox.

Tired eyes to refreshed, radiant confidence.

The word retinol used to scare me, it sounded strong, it sounded intense. Someone had advised me to use retinol in the past which left me with sensitive, dry and peeling skin. Not all retinol is the same, the way it’s formulated matters. Encapsulated retinol paired with skin soothing ingredients matters. Encapsulated means the active ingredient is protected until it reaches the target skin layer, reducing irritation and improving efficacy. Have no idea what skincare products to use? Using skincare but not seeing results? Message me for a consultation

* Stop using mouthwash, antiseptic mouthwashes, while meant to kill bad bacteria, wipe out beneficial, protective microbes, nourish your mouth, don’t disinfect it. Use a copper stainless steel tongue scraper instead. ( use AD15 for 15% off their website)
* Stop rinsing your mouth with water after brushing, you’re just washing away all of the protective ingredients from the toothpaste.
* Look for hydroxyapatite, fluoride & xylitol in toothpaste for multifactorial protective benefits. My favourite brand is use AD15 for 15% off their website)
* Your vitamin D supplements need K2 to function. Nutritional geek ones are a good choice.
* Have regular guided biofilm teeth cleaning with 2-4x a year.
* Don’t brush your teeth straight after meals, rinse with water and wait at least 30 minutes.
* If you’re always prone to tooth decay, consider chewing xylitol chewing gum between meals.
* If you’re cleaning your teeth well and still getting tooth decay and gum disease, look at your breathing, do you breathe most of the day and night with your mouth open?
* Stop letting your mouth get dry, stay hydrated with water and chew sugar free gum or xylitol melts.
* Gum disease doesn’t just stay in your mouth, it’s causing chronic inflammation throughout your whole body. Chronic inflammation = cause of most diseases. It’s 2026, if you’re still ignoring bleeding gums something needs to change.

I always dread January, I get the worst seasonal depression, post holiday blues, social isolation, self doubt and internal pressure to achieve things. HOWEVER, for the first time in years I’ve had the most calming and content January✨🙏🏽. I’ve started appreciating the little things about everyday life, romanticising my daily routine and enjoying the ride. We always save our best perfume, our best outfit, our best candle for a special day. Change that one day into everyday, start where you are, wear your fancy clothes, spray the expensive perfume, use what you have and do what you can. The journey is the best part of the ride, life is inherently busy and messy so create joy in everyday life💫🩶.

👅 Tongue tie: small tissue, BIG impact.

Background: my patient walked in with her hair oiled, apologising that she had just had an Indian head massage, something she has to get done weekly due to severe migraines and neck tension.

My brain is already ticking at this point🧠

She opens and she has a tongue tie.

That little band means her tongue can’t move and function the way it is meant to. This can contribute to:
✨ Mouth breathing
✨ Jaw & neck tension
✨ Clenching or grinding
✨ Poor sleep & snoring
✨ Digestive issues
✨ Headaches & facial pain

In holistic dentistry, we don’t just look at teeth—we look at how the tongue, airway, muscles, posture, and nervous system all work together. When the tongue can’t move freely, the entire body may compensate.

The good news? With the right assessment and a whole-body approach, we can support better function, balance, and long-term health—not just symptom relief.

If you’ve been told “everything looks fine” but your body says otherwise… it might be time to look under the tongue.

💬 Curious if a tongue tie could be affecting you or your child?
📅 Book a holistic evaluation and let’s connect the dots.

I get it, the skin and aesthetic’s industry is overwhelminggg, there are so many brands, so many products, so many treatments and so many trends. Don’t panic and don’t be fooled. Most of these are endorsed by marketing and there to take your hard earned money. Before you think something hasn’t worked and you jump to the next treatment or product. Question why isn’t it working, search for answers, search for understanding. Knowledge is power and science will always win. My minimalistic 2026 and conservative year is ready to be shared.

A weekend get away to switch off & time for an update.

I’m just gonna write how I’ve been feeling for the past 12 months because when I see friends I’ve not seen for a while or new clients, they really say to me you’ve got your life so put together. I’m far from it.

Life really changes after marriage!! Like I’m literally living the life I’ve always dreamt of yet I’m so sad at the same time. I feel like my whole identity has changed, what I enjoy in life has changed, I prefer not to drink, I prefer not to go out, I’m now anxious but I used to be so confident. There’s now a whole new environment, new life, new responsibilities, new expectations quite literally overnight. You can literally have everything you’ve ever dreamed of and still find it hard. Life is split between two families and there always a sense of not enough time and guilt.

I feel lost in a time that I’ve always waited for. I miss my parents, my siblings and my childhood home but I also love spending everyday with my husband. I miss my old life whilst celebrating and enjoying my new one. Sometimes I cry for no reason but at the same time smile to see my husband after work.

Working full time whilst following a passion in the evening and learning a new career on weekends. Maintaining my routine in health and fitness whilst commuting two hours a day, whilst being present for my husband and doing everyday life chores, making time to check in on friends and family. Oh and not to forget the mentally and physically demanding nature of dentistry. Yet, my brain won’t let me slow down🙂.

Life really is wild at this time? X

Are you regularly going to the dentist and doing ‘everything’ you can but still being told you need a new filling?

Stop using an alcohol and essential oils mouthwash ➡️ use a stainless steel tongue scraper instead

Whitening toothpaste ➡️ use a hydroxyapatite toothpaste

Sugary mints/gums ➡️ xylitol gum or mints

Hard bristled toothbrush ➡️ electric toothbrush with a pressure sensor (Oral B IO series 6 is my favourite) or a Curaprox 5460 manual toothbrush
