A big thank you to one of our lovely patients for these beautiful homemade cakes 🍰💛

We did plan to take a perfect photo before diving in… but things didn’t quite go to plan 😅 (turns out willpower isn’t our strongest skill!)

Rest assured, they passed our very strict “taste test” with flying colours 👀✔️

We’re so grateful for such kind and thoughtful patients – gestures like this really do make our day.

29th, 30th, 31st December: open for emergencies 8.30am - 1pm. Please call before 11am to be triaged.

1st January: closed

2nd January: normal opening hours 8.30am - 3pm

⚠️🚨 Due to anticipated severe weather conditions and the red weather warning issued by the Met Office, we have made the decision to close the practice tomorrow, Friday 24th January 2025. Out Of Hours Cover

NHS patients  

If patients have a serious dental emergency such as trauma, uncontrolled bleeding following extraction, swelling that is causing difficulty breathing, swallowing or eye closure or severe dental pain not controlled by over the counter pain relief medication, patients may phone the patient line from 8am to 12 noon on 028 25 66 35 10 on bank holidays or weekends.  

Denplan and Private patients

If you are a Denplan or private patient please contact 07904 07 52 11 from 9am to 3pm on bank holidays or weekends

· Denplan patients must provide membership number and then pay a £20 excess at the time of emergency appointment if they are covered by insurance on their plan. If a patient is not covered by insurance they must pay the full fee £160.

· Private patients charge is £160 to be seen.

ALL Patients should attend their local A and E in the event of severe dental swelling affecting their airway or if calling after the designated times with severe trauma or bleeding.

Unfortunately, we have come to the tough decision that as of January 2025 we will no longer be an NHS practice.

We would like to Congratulate James, who has managed to survive his first month here at FDP! ...Well done James! 👏🏼

James qualified from Queen’s in 2021 & he has worked as a general dentist since then.

He loves giving patient’s their dream smile – particularly by moving teeth and making them straight. He can use the metal braces or the clear aligners. He is qualified in sedation and is currently completing a Diploma in Implant Dentistry in London, to help give our patients solutions to missing teeth.🦷

He is a fan of putting nervous patients at ease and making the dentist a relaxing experience. James likes helping children with their dental health.

Outside of the dental surgery, he loves the outdoors: hiking, cycling and running. Last year he ran his first marathon to support a charity which works against human trafficking and slavery! ⛰️💪🏼🏅👟
