🌊💙 A Chilly Dip for MND awareness 💙🌊

Last Friday, 25th September, our very own Mel joined orthodontic colleagues from across the country for a very special ‘Fancy Dress Splash’ in Brighton, following the British Orthodontic Society Conference 2026. British Orthodontic Society

The event brought everyone together for one important reason: to show support for our friend and colleague Jon Machell, who is living with motor neurone disease (MND), and to raise awareness and funds for the MND Association.

Taking that dip in the sea was an incredibly moving experience. There was laughter, a few nerves about the chilly water, plenty of fantastic fancy dress… but most of all, there was a real sense of solidarity and togetherness. 💙

Jon has done an incredible amount to raise awareness and funds for the MND Association, and it was a privilege for everyone involved to come together and show our support for him.

We’re so proud of Mel for taking part and being part of such a meaningful event. 🌊💙

Emma and Sophie had a great time at the British Orthodontic conference in Brighton. They enjoyed a full day of lectures and plenty of time to chat to the reps on the trades stands learning about new products and initiatives… taking home some freebies and ideas to use in the practice too!

Mel is pleased to announce that she was made the inaugural chair of the OTNG which is a group within the British Orthodontic Society that represents Orthodontic Nurses and Orthodontic Therapists, now her hard work begins as she and her committee plan study days and webinars to help, support and inspire DCP’s nationally.
