As we fast approach the Christmas and New Year holiday period, please don’t leave a nagging dental problem until we are closed! Contact Mount Dental Surgery to book an appointment. If you don’t have a regular dentist and feel dental pain ring the practice to see if we have any emergency appointments free to help with a one off appointment. We usually have some available on Tuesdays and Thursdays but you need to ring first 01924 521001 and it’s first come first served

Thank you ☺️

We have gone paperless!!!
Mount Dental Surgery are excited to announce we no longer use paper records and when you receive your appointment reminder you will also receive a link to complete all your paperwork (medical history and the NHS form) before you arrive!! This then populates your computer record. If you don’t have a compatible mobile phone we can help you in surgery on our tablets! 😀

In the first six months, from 1st April 2024 to 30th September 2024

335 patients failed to attend their booked dental appointments!

If these were just examination appointments that is almost 84 hours of wastes surgery time!

Some were treatment appointments of 30-50 minutes too.

Don’t waste precious surgery time, cancel it or rearrange giving 24 hours notice and give someone in pain the chance to come!

Appointments are precious, not only at any dental surgeries but doctors, hospitals, the list goes on.

If you book an appointment, but can’t attend please cancel it! This gives us all the opportunity to offer someone else an appointment!

At Mount Dental Surgery we ask for at least 24 hours notice to cancel an appointment. We do understand that there may be occasions you can’t do this but all late cancellations and fails to attend affect your attendance record and two can result in you loosing your place at the practice!

Emergency appointments are just that, the need to be seen sooner than a routine check up.

They should not be requested for routine matters. If you request a particular day or time and can wait to be seen, this is not an emergency.

The out of hours service through NHS 111 is extremely busy, please contact the practice if you are a regular patient in the first instance.

Thank you ☺️

Don’t let your “registration” at the practice expire! Patient don’t really hold a registration but those who attend regularly hold a place on our list.

To keep your place you do need to attend on a regular basis based on your oral health needs and as informed by your dentist.

If you let your place lapse and fail to return within 2.5 years you will be taken off the list and your place will be given to someone else.

Please contact the practice to book your routine appointment

We are delighted to inform you that we have be fortunate to recruit a new part time qualified dental nurse and two new apprentice dental nurses to join our busy dental surgery. I hope our patients will be patient as they learn the jobs and welcome them to our team.

We have a new telephone system which is being installed to include a welcome message and record all calls for training and quality purposes and allow message recording at times when we are helping other patients.

And look at our new sundries display cabinet for all your dental needs! Prices cover the cost to the practice with little or no profit to us, to help you keep on top of your oral health needs!

Don’t forget to keep your routine appointments on time. You lose your place by not visiting after 2.5 years!!

If you are receiving orthodontic treatment you still need to visit the dentist regularly to keep your place at the surgery.

Did you know 501 patients FAILED to attend their booked appointments from April 22 to March 23?? Just think how many new patients or extra emergency/urgent patients we could have seen if they had only rung to cancel giving 24 hours notice? Please let us know if you can’t attend.

We look forward to seeing our regular patients for your next appointments

😊 Mount Dental Surgery Team
