We have been caring for the people of Barrow-in-Furness since 2004. At JM Worsley Dental Practice, we are dedicated to providing dental care of a high standard and consistency for all our patients. All treatment offered and provided is clinically justified, appropriate and carried out with proper regard to the dignity and autonomy of our patients.

*PRACTICE CLOSURE NOTICE*

We would like to inform our patients that the practice will be closed on Thursday 19th February 2026 (tomorrow), from 12pm. This is to allow all of the team time to attend the funeral of our former colleague & dear friend, Mark Knagg❤️

For any non emergency enquiries, please leave a voice message on 01229 832200.
In the instance of a dental emergency, please call 111 or 0300 1234010.

The practice will reopen as normal on Friday 20th February at 9:30am.

This is a time for us to come together to pay our respects, and support Debbie, Alix and Eve.
We appreciate your kindness and continued support at this difficult time❤️

COLD AND FLU SEASON🦠

Over the past few weeks we have noticed an increase in patients presenting with cold and flu symptoms at the practice…
With the winter months upon us we would like to politely ask patients to avoid visiting us if they have any cold, flu or covid-19 symptoms.
Our main priority is to protect our patients and staff members from any illnesses, especially those who are vulnerable.

Please call us on 01229 832200 to cancel your appointment(s), as soon as possible, if you feel run down or have any of the following symptoms:
- A blocked or runny nose
- Sneezing
- A sore throat
- A hoarse voice
- A cough
- Feeling tired and unwell
- A high temperature
- Aching muscles or body
- A loss of taste and smell
- A feeling of pressure in your ears and face

Take the time to rest and recover, we’ll still be here when you’re feeling better!

Our practice open hours are 9:30am - 5:15pm. If you call us outside of these times, then please leave a voicemail and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
The earlier you can let us know about a cancellation, prior to your appointment time, the better. This way we can try our best to fill your slot😊

In March 2026 our Dental Nurse, Holly, is heading out to Cambodia to volunteer with Dentaid The Dental Charity !

Holly is taking part in the Manchester Half Marathon this month to fundraise for Dentaid🏃🏽‍♀️‍➡️

ALACEY’S FUNDRAISING🇺🇬

In September 2026 our Dental Nurse, Alacey, is heading out to Uganda to volunteer with Dentaid The Dental Charity !

Alacey is taking part in various fundraising activities leading up to this trip…
In July she completed a skydive from 14,000 ft and she is currently training to complete the Manchester Half Marathon in October🏃🏽‍♀️‍➡️🪂

Alacey is also running a raffle for one lucky person to win an OralB iO6 electric toothbrush - raffle details, as seen on the poster, and tickets are available to purchase at reception upon request (cash only or via the JustGiving page)😊
