At Westcountry Dental, our commitment has always been to the communities we serve.
In May alone, we were happy to provide care for over 4,000 NHS patients, helping individuals and families access the dental treatment they need.

We understand that many patients are still waiting to be seen, and we know how frustrating that can be. The shortage of dentists across the UK continues to put pressure on NHS services, but despite these challenges, our team works tirelessly every day to support as many patients as possible.

Wherever possible, we are prioritising children's appointments to help ensure young patients receive the care they need at the right time, while continuing to expand access for the wider community.

This milestone isn't just a number—it's a reflection of the dedication of our teams and our ongoing promise to improve access to dental care. While there is still more work to do, we remain committed to supporting our communities, reducing waiting times, and helping more people receive the care they deserve.

Hi, I’m Jess 👋✨

I’ve been part of the West Country family for almost 6 years 😳 I mainly work behind the scenes, helping everything run smoothly day to day 🤍

Alongside the admin side of the practice, I’m also the face behind our Instagram and social media content 📱✨ I love sharing little glimpses into practice life and capturing all the lovely moments with our patients and team.

You’ll also find me nursing alongside Sara (who you’ll meet in another post soon 👀🦷). I really enjoy helping patients feel comfortable and cared for throughout their visits 😊 Whether it’s welcoming nervous patients, assisting during treatments, or simply having a friendly chat to put someone at ease, I love making every visit as positive as possible.

Outside of work… I’m also a proud bun mum to two rabbits 🐰🐰✨ full-time hay supplier and occasional mischief manager! 😄

I feel really lucky to be part of such a supportive team and to help create a welcoming environment for all our patients 🤍✨

Here we have Shaym and Sorcha ✨ an UNMATCHED duo! This “staged” action shot is actually very accurate… because this is exactly how you’ll usually see them, always busy working hard and looking after all you lovely patients 💙

Shaym has been with us for just over 2 years, and his dedication and work ethic are truly inspiring! He’s incredible with patients, amazing in all aspects of dental treatment, and if you listen carefully… you’ll probably catch him singing 🎶😂

Sorcha joined us less than 6 months ago, but honestly, it feels like she’s been part of the team forever! ☘️ Her Irish accent keeps us all entertained, and we’re still learning plenty of her Irish lingo 👀😂 She is one of the hardest-working and most dedicated nurses we’ve ever seen! She possibly holds the record for the most “Employee of the Week” nominations ever 😂✨ We absolutely love you, girl 💚

Meet Anchal & Janae our dream NHS duo 🫶

✨ Anchal, our amazing Hygiene Therapist, has been part of the Barnstaple team for just over a year and with Alliance for just over 2 years! She made the move to our beautiful little town to start her life in England , and we feel so lucky to have her here ✨

Anchal’s warm smile and calming nature instantly put patients at ease… and when you hear her laugh, you’ll definitely know she’s nearby 🤍

✨ Janae, our little pocket rocket 🚀, has been with us for almost two years and has achieved so much in that time.
