A date for the diary — An exceptional day of CPD for Dental Hygienists & Therapists 🚨

Following the summer break, this is the perfect opportunity to reconnect, refocus and invest in your professional development — with two engaging sessions designed to bring fresh thinking and practical insight back into everyday clinical practice. 🦷

✅ The morning session, presented by Peter Clarke, will explore the management of periodontal disease within primary dental care, with an emphasis on practical application in everyday clinical practice.

✅ In the afternoon, Kate Reading and Lisa Knowles will present Integrating Preventive Protocols in Primary Dental Care: A Lifestyle Medicine Approach — bringing a contemporary perspective to prevention and patient care.

Introducing Lois, one of our Front of house team members.

❓What is your favourite part of the job?
My favourite part is listening to patients’ concerns and getting them booked in for emergency appointments when they need help. It’s really rewarding seeing them come out feeling much more confident, reassured and comfortable.

❓What is a fun fact about you?
I love singing whenever I get the chance! 🎶 I also used to compete in swimming competitions when I was younger and completed all of my swimming lessons. 🏊‍♀️

❓What is a piece of advice you would give to patients?
Remember to brush your teeth twice a day! The way I like to explain it to family members is: “Brush in the morning to keep your friends, and brush at night to keep your teeth!” 🦷✨
