We are incredibly excited to finally confirm that planning permission has officially been approved for Dental Academy Conwy. 🦷

This is a huge milestone for everyone involved in the project, and we are proud to now be able to publicly share our vision for the future of dental care within the Conwy community and across North Wales.

We would also like to extend a huge thank you to Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board for their continued support of NHS dentistry within the region, alongside innovative and brave commissioning from the Health Board that has helped make projects such as this possible.

We are also incredibly grateful to Pritchard and the Bodlondeb team for supporting the placement and development of the new practice location and helping bring this vision to life.

Dental Academy Conwy is being developed and funded by Dr Ravi Singh and Dr Darren King, proud owners of Dental Academy Bangor, an 11,500 patient mixed NHS practice currently supporting the dental needs of North Wales with a team of 45 clinicians dedicated to patient care every single day.

From the very beginning, the vision behind Dental Academy has always been centred around improving access to high-quality NHS and mixed dental care, investing in the future of dentistry, and creating practices that genuinely support local communities and patients.

With recent discussions surrounding the project, we also feel it is important to clarify that the development, planning, investment, and operational vision behind Dental Academy Conwy has been led by the Dental Academy team. The amount of work, commitment, and personal investment that has gone into bringing this project to life over such a long period cannot be understated.

Most importantly, this project is about increasing access to dental care — not reducing it.

Dental Academy Conwy has been designed to help support growing patient demand in the area whilst creating opportunities for clinicians and continuing our commitment to NHS and mixed dentistry within North Wales.

Now that planning permission has been granted, we are excited to begin sharing the journey properly with our community.

Our official Dental Academy Conwy social media platforms will shortly be launching, similar to Dental Academy Bangor, where we’ll be posting regular updates, progress photos, announcements, behind-the-scenes content, and information for future patients.
