🦷 DO YOU HAVE TO USE FIXATIVE TO KEEP YOUR DENTURES IN? 🦷

If you find yourself reaching for denture fixative every day just to keep your dentures in place, it may be time to ask why.

Good fitting dentures should generally stay in place without the nees for fixative - particularly an upper denture.

💷 Have you ever worked out how much your fixative is costing you?

If you are using one tube of fixative a week, that could add up to aroynd £200 a year! 😲

Instead of spending money every week trying to keep your dentures in place, it may be worth having your dentures checked to see whether they can be replaced.

A comfortable well-fitting denture could potentially save you around £200 a year in fixative costs - as well as making eating, speaking and smiling more comfortable. 🙂

Don't keep spending money on fixative if your dentures could be the problem. 🦷

If you don't clean your dentures over a sink of water then you may end up with a broken denture.

If you break you denture, it is important to get it fixed by a professional and not to use superglue as this can make your denture more difficult to repair.

If you need your denture repairing then please telephone 0161 343 2277. Dentures can normally be repaired the same day.

This is one of the few reasons why you should never superglue your denture back together.

🚫 **Please don’t superglue your dentures!** 🚫

It might seem like a quick fix, but using household glue on a broken denture can actually cause more damage and make professional repair much more difficult (and costly). Superglue isn’t designed for use in the mouth and can be harmful to your health.

✔️ The safest and most effective option is to have your denture professionally repaired.

At Ashton Denture Clinic, expert repairs can often be completed the **same day**, so you won’t be without your smile for long.
