We all want healthy, clean teeth & gums, free from bad breath.🦷💫

But what steps are you actually taking to get there? And is there a best order!?

Well, the most important and the MINIMUM 2out of the 4 tools mentioned are FLOSS (or interdental brushes) AND A TOOTHBRUSH. These physically remove plaque from all surfaces of your teeth, so they’re the joint KINGS. 👑

A water flosser is a good extra, but again, the evidence shows that it shouldn’t replace string floss/interdental brushes. If you use a water flosser, use it after you floss and before you brush.

But loads of you out there love mouthwash too.
There’s poor evidence that it does much, but the mistake most people make is using it after brushing.
Your toothpaste is the most valuable thing to coat your teeth in it contains all those good ingredients so using mouthwash afterwards just washes this good stuff off!
If you like using mouthwash, choose an alcohol-free formulation and use it in the middle of the day or before brushing.

A tongue scraper is another good extra, especially if you’re bad at drinking water — and a few times a week is enough.
