Five questions you should ask before committing to dental implants, because we always want you to know the best option for YOU 👆

1. Am I a good candidate? This comes down to your general health and, importantly, your gum health. We’ll always assess this thoroughly before recommending treatment.

2. How many implants will I actually need? It’s not always as straightforward as people think. Some patients need more than they expect, some need less. What matters is making sure you have a stable upper and lower bite, and we’ll work that out together.

3. What are the risks and possible complications? We’ll walk you through everything during the process, but always ask the question so you feel completely comfortable before committing to anything.

4. How long will the full process take? This is different for everyone, so always ask so you can plan your life around it accordingly.

5. What will recovery look like? Everyone heals differently, but asking the question means you go in with the right expectations rather than any surprises.

If you’re wondering what your smile could look and feel like, book a consultation with Dr Mat or Marianne and they will talk you through everything 🦷

This might make you rethink your whole dental routine 👀🦷

We know there is so much conflicting advice online about oral health, whitening, brushing techniques, and routine dental care, we wanted to bring it back to basics and share what actually matters when it comes to keeping your teeth and gums healthy long term.

Each dentist has been sharing their real thoughts on common habits and treatments what’s genuinely worth prioritising, and what’s maybe not as important as people think.

It’s all about helping you make more informed choices about your dental health, improve your oral hygiene routine, and feel more confident about your smile.

We know there are so many tips, tricks and hacks on TikTok but trust us they aren’t always good for your oral health!

Layered composite bonding has become really popular at Airdrie Dental Care recently, could it be what you’re looking for? 👇🏻

Layered bonding is for you if you want to make changes to your smile while achieving the most natural, undetectable results possible.

Here’s how it works.👇🏻

We use more opaque shades underneath to mimic the inner layers of your natural teeth, sculpt in natural features and edges, and then finish with translucent, pearlescent enamel shades over the top. The result is a smile that looks genuinely real, because it’s been built to replicate exactly how a natural tooth looks.

People choose layered bonding when they want to fix the size, shape or colour of their teeth without anyone being able to tell they’ve had work done. It’s bespoke, it’s subtle, and the results speak for themselves.

If that sounds like what you’ve been looking for, DM us LAYERED to book your consultation 🤍

3 myths about digital dentures that we hear all the time, so let’s debunk them 👇🏻

Myth 1: They take loads of appointments, this is not true. In most cases we can scan and fit in a single visit, and sometimes we can even have them ready within 24 hours.🤪

Myth 2: Scanning isn’t as accurate as traditional methods. This is also not true, with a good quality intraoral digital scan, the fit we achieve is often better than traditional impressions.

Myth 3: Intraoral scans use X-rays to capture the data. This isn’t true, they use no radiation at all. The scanner simply captures a detailed digital image of your mouth.

If any of these have been holding you back, DM us the word DENTURES and we’ll get you booked in 🦷

5 things you should know about dental implants 👆

If you have been considering implants or have a missing tooth you have been putting off doing something about, swipe through because this one is for you.

1️⃣They are not just for older people. Implants are suitable for most adults who have lost a tooth, whether that is due to an accident, decay, or an extraction.

2️⃣The procedure is more comfortable than you think. Most of our patients are surprised by how straightforward it is.

3️⃣They are the gold standard in tooth replacement. Implants are the only option that replaces the root of the tooth as well as the crown.

4️⃣Bone health plays a bigger role than most people realise. If a tooth has been missing for some time, some bone loss is common.

5️⃣Flexible payment options make them more accessible than you might think. Implants are a long term investment in your health and confidence, and we never want cost to be a barrier. We offer flexible payment plans through Tabeo so you can spread the cost in a way that suits you.

Dental implants are one of the most life changing treatments we offer here at Airdrie Dental Care. If you are missing a tooth and want to explore your options, DM us “IMPLANT” to book your consultation. 🤍
