Following the government announcement on the 4th January 2021 of a third national lockdown, we can confirm that Rai Dental Surgery will remain open, and will continue to implement the protocols and procedures that have kept our patients and staff safe since we reopened. We are available for all routine and emergency care.

**UPDATE**

Rai Dental Surgery will remain open in the forthcoming lockdown to provide an essential health service as per the Government’s announcement.

Routine treatment is essential treatment. Your oral health is important and screening for oral disease including oral cancer is essential, so routine care will continue including examination, hygiene and treatment appointments.

During the first lockdown we as a profession spent months getting our practice COVID safe:

Face fit testing on FFP2/3 masks, enhanced PPE, clinical safety protocols implemented and followed.

This has enabled us to create a safe and secure environment in which to provide dental health care in this second lockdown.

However we realise some patients may consider themselves vulnerable and wish to postpone their care . Please contact reception, preferably by email at [email protected] to reschedule your appointments.

*** Important Update ***

Following the government announcement on 28th May, we are happy to announce that Rai Dental Surgery is able to re-open.

We would firstly like to thank all patients for their understanding during these unprecedented times.

The practice already maintains an impeccably high level of cleanliness and safety however, we are working toward providing an EVEN safer environment with the on going Covid-19 pandemic. We have been working tirelessly to source the highest standard of PPE which is in extremely short supply so please bear with us as our absolute priority is to keep staff and patients safe. Once we feel these high safety standards have been met we will open the doors for face-to-face appointments.

We will initially be prioritising appointments for those that have had dental emergencies during the lockdown period, and also those patients who we had to cancel mid-treatment prior to lockdown.

We have had to cancel numerous routine appointments since the lockdown began and we will endeavour to see everyone again as soon as possible. We have compiled a list of patients who have been cancelled and we will be getting in touch with you over the coming weeks to rearrange your appointment.

Please do not attend the practice if you do not have an appointment.

There will be changes in the way the practice operates and the responsibilities of our patients; this will be posted in detail in due course.

Thank you again for your patience in this difficult time, we are very excited to be seeing you all again soon!
