This week, Crown Dental Group took part in our annual training with Denplan!💚

A huge thank you to Lynn, who was fantastic as always, for leading another brilliant training session.

We explored the importance of social media and how it helps us connect with our patients, share what we do and continue to provide the best possible experience for everyone who visits us.

A Crown Dental Group Adventure

Our dentist Archana recently enjoyed a hiking adventure around the beautiful Ben Lomond with Mr Gillies.

Mr Gillies played a huge part in the Crown Dental Group story, having opened Crown alongside Mr Kavi and helping to build the group into what it is today. Although now retired, it was lovely to see them enjoying a day out together and catching up away from the practice.

With beautiful scenery, plenty of fresh air and some great photos along the way, it looks like they had a fantastic time exploring Loch Lomond.

✨Meet the Team✨

Next in our Meet the Team series is Nicol, our Head Dental Nurse and a valued member of the Crown Dental Group team!

Nicol has been working in dentistry for around 8 years, with over 2 years of experience as a Head Dental Nurse. She officially qualified in January 2022 and has since been passionate about expanding her knowledge and skills, completing a range of post-qualification courses along the way. These include Oral Health Care, Managing Quality Improvement in a Dental Practice, Local Decontamination of Reusable Instruments and Impression Taking. She is also about to begin her Radiography course!

Nicol joined Crown Dental Group in April 2021, having previously worked in an NHS dental practice in Aberdeen. She made the move to broaden her horizons, gain new experience and develop her skills within dentistry.

She particularly enjoys minor oral surgery, assisting during sedation and supporting anxious patients, as well as treatment planning.

When asked what she enjoys most about her job, Nicol said:

"My favourite part of the job is meeting and working with a variety of people. I like that no day is ever the same, with different people, experiences and tasks each day."

We’re incredibly lucky to have Nicol as part of our team. Her experience, dedication and caring approach make her an invaluable member of Crown Dental Group. 💙

Next in our Meet the Team series is Archana, one of our fantastic Dentists and a valued member of the Crown Dental Group team!

Archana qualified as a dentist in 2003 and has enjoyed a varied career in dentistry. She previously worked in public dental services and taught at Aberdeen Dental School before joining the team at Crown Dental Group.

Archana has a particular interest in extractions and surgical procedures, which she finds both interesting and rewarding. She also offers conscious sedation, helping nervous patients feel more relaxed and comfortable during their treatment.

💬When asked what she enjoys most about her job, Archana said:

“I love meeting and talking to people, helping my patients feel comfortable and at ease, and giving them confidence in their dental care.”

We’re incredibly lucky to have Archana as part of our team. Her experience, caring approach and dedication to her patients make her an invaluable member of Crown Dental Group.

Next in our Meet the Team series is Jennifer Wales BDS, one of our friendly and experienced Dentists here at Crown Dental Group! 💙

Jennifer qualified from the University of Glasgow nearly 20 years ago and has been part of the Thistle Dental Group since 2010. She joined the Crown Dental Group team in 2024 and has quickly become a valued member of the practice. 😄

Known for her warm, caring nature, Jennifer enjoys building lasting relationships with her patients and helping them feel at ease throughout their dental journey. She has a particular interest in general dentistry and loves using clear aligners, composite bonding, and teeth whitening to help patients achieve their dream smiles. ✨

💬 When asked what she enjoys most about her job, Jennifer says:

"I enjoy the continuity I have with my patients. I've seen their children grow up and have had the privilege of providing dental care for whole families, from the youngest to the oldest. Building those long-term relationships is incredibly rewarding."
