Earlier this year, we introduced Claire as our Implant Coordinator and today we are delighted to share some exciting news.

Due to her endless hard work, dedication, and commitment to both our patients and the practice, Claire has now been promoted to Practice Manager at The Dental Practice.

Claire will continue overseeing implant coordinating during this transition period while taking on her new role, and we know she will do an amazing job. Her caring nature, professionalism, and passion for patient care make her a truly valued part of the team.

Fun Fact Friday✨

Everyone talks about sugar, but acid can be just as damaging to your teeth!

Fizzy drinks, fruit juice, sports drinks, wine and even lemon water can slowly wear away enamel over time.
Sugar feeds the bacteria that cause decay, but acid directly softens and dissolves the enamel itself.

Once enamel is gone, it doesn’t come back:( Some early signs to look out for are sensitivity, teeth looking more yellow, or edges starting to look slightly transparent

A few simple things can help
✅Use a straw where you can
✅Try not to sip acidic drinks over long periods
✅Rinse your mouth with water afterwards
✅Wait about 30 minutes before brushing

A complex case with a beautiful outcome ✨

This patient was referred to us after their general dentist was unable to complete re-root treatment of their front tooth, which was also very dark in colour.

As seen on the X-rays, the tooth presented with an open apex (the tip of the root isnt closed), which our amazing dentist, Siobhan, was able to restore using specialist techniques and materials including MTA, to successfully complete the re-root treatment. ✅

To finish, internal and external bleaching were carried out to restore the tooth’s colour, followed by whitening of all teeth for a seamless result.😁

Siobhan is accepting endodontic referrals at our practice.

Some people naturally develop small bony growths in their mouth called dental tori!

They’re completely benign and often found on the roof of the mouth or along the lower jaw. They don’t usually cause any problems but your dentist will always keep an eye on them during check-ups💙
