Sometimes, we check everything and change nothing. 👀

Not every orthodontic review needs to end with a new wire, a new instruction or an adjustment.

Your teeth need time to respond to the forces already at work, while each review gives your orthodontist a chance to assess that progress.

If everything is progressing as intended, making a change when it isn’t needed may not be the right next step.

So when there are no changes needed that day, it doesn’t mean nothing is happening.

Sometimes, giving your teeth more time is exactly what the treatment calls for. 🦷

Your old Invisalign aligner might not be finished with its job just yet. 👀

It can be tempting to move into a fresh tray and forget about the last one, but keeping your previous aligner safely stored can be useful if something unexpected happens during treatment.

If a tray is lost, damaged or suddenly doesn’t seem to fit properly, avoid moving backwards or forwards through your aligners without checking with us first.

Get in touch, and we can advise you based on where you are in your treatment plan. 💙
