Takeaway night doesn’t have to wreck your smile, but some choices are worse than others 👀

Curry lovers, watch the turmeric. It’s brilliant for you in loads of ways but it stains enamel fast, and that yellow tinge doesn’t shift with your usual toothbrush.

Chinese takeaway fans, red sauces are the real culprit. Sweet and sour, char siu, plum sauce… they’re loaded with sugar your teeth really don’t need after a long day. Seaweed too, as much as it feels like a “healthy” side, it’s often coated in more sugar and salt than you think!

So what’s the safer bet? Fish and chips. Simple, less sugar, and your teeth will thank you for it.

Enjoy your takeaway, just be smart about it ❤️🩷

Tepe brushes or floss, which one should you actually be using?

Honest answer: they’re not competing, they’re covering different ground ✌️🥰

Floss cleans the tight contact point where your teeth touch. Tepe brushes (interdental brushes) clean the gap underneath, where your gum line curves away. If you’ve got any space there at all, a brush will get to plaque that floss just skims past.

So the real answer is both. Floss where teeth are touching, tepe brush where there’s a gap. Not sure which sizes you need? Drop your dentist or hygienist a call 🩷

Getting your little one used to a toothbrush doesn’t need to be complicated ❤️

Before that first tooth even appears, pop a toothbrush in their hand and let them explore it like a teether. No toothpaste needed yet, just let them chew, hold it, get familiar with the feeling of something in their mouth.

It’s such a gentle way to start building the habit, no pressure, no tears, just normalising it early.

Once that first tooth comes through, that’s your cue to start brushing twice a day with a tiny smear of fluoride toothpaste.

Little steps now save you a lot of battles later ❤️

Any questions about getting started, pop them below, I’m always happy to help!

Composite veneers are one of my favourite treatments to do, and here’s why 🦷

Unlike traditional veneers, we’re not removing loads of your natural tooth to fit them. We build up ON your existing tooth using composite, layer by layer, until we get the shape you want.

It’s minimally invasive, it’s reversible in most cases, and because we’re working with your own tooth structure rather than against it, sometimes we don’t even need local anaesthetic for the prep.

Same day, natural looking results, and your tooth stays yours ✨

Got questions about whether composite veneers could work for you? Drop me a message 🩷

Imagine being scared of the dentist and then here I am 😂 I promise the scariest thing here is my choice of eyewear!

I’ll be the judge of that! There’s nothing I love more than a challenge 👀✌️

If you’ve been turned away from your dentist, I would love to hear from you. You will be surprised how many options could be available to you.

Drop me a message ❤️

I get asked about composite veneers ALL the time. How long they take, what actually happens, does it hurt (no).

So instead of just telling you, I’m showing you! Watch me work my magic on a real patient, start to finish 🦷✨

Thank you for trusting me with your new beautiful smile ☺️

I know it can feel like such a chore, but flossing your teeth should be part of your daily dental routine! The benefits include:

⭐Removes plaque and food debris from between teeth where a toothbrush can’t reach

⭐Prevents cavities by clearing bacteria from tight spaces before they cause decay

⭐Reduces gum disease risk by removing plaque along the gumline that leads to gingivitis

⭐Freshens breath by clearing trapped food particles that cause odour

⭐Prevents tartar build-up, which can only be removed by a dentist once it hardens

⭐Protects against tooth loss long-term, since gum disease is a leading cause

⭐Saves money by catching problems early, before they need treatment
