😍🦷 Very proud of this case !!! 🦷😍

Direct pulp capping (I would even say partial pulpotomy…)

Irrigation : Sodium hypochlorite 5,25% (with a cotton pellet)

Material : Biodentine () (you can see it clearly in the radiographs)

3 months follow up : teeth are still vital and no residual pain

Direct pulp capping is not a treatment that has a good success rate, so when it’s working you have to enjoy it…😍

🦷NEW CASE : BROKEN FILE🦷

1.4 with a broken file.

🦯Palatal canal joins the buccal canal in the apical third. The broken file is not a huge surprise considering the anatomy.

🧐C+ files were used and were vibrated with US to remove the broken file in serveral pieces. I even broke a file myself inside the canal. 30/04% FANTA ENDO was used for the final preparation.

💦Irrigation : NaClO 5.25% / EDTA 17% / NaClO 5.25% . Both activated with EDDY

🗳️Obturation : Gutta combined with bioceramic sealer bioroot.

It took one appointment of 3 hours. This tooth is now saved and the general dentist can make the final restauration.

🚨🦷30y female patient / tooth 3.6 with apical periodontitis. 🦷🚨

Treatment :

🧐Gutta percha removal and apical patency obtained. Calcium hydroxide was used between the appointements, distal canal was too infected.

💦Irrigation : NaClO 5.25% / EDTA 17% / NaClO 5.25% . Both activated with EDDY.

🗳️Obturation : Gutta combined with bioceramic sealer bioroot.

🔜🔜FOLLOW UP : 8 months later : the radiograph clearly shows bone formation which indicates both success of endodontic treatment and on going healing process.
This nice patient didn’t feel anymore pain either since the treatment was completed.

Note : It took 2 appointements to realize the treatment under DOM.

Necrosis occured due to occlusal trauma.

🧐Access cavity with US ED15 until the middle third of the canal.

💦Irrigation : NaClO 5.25% / EDTA 17% / NaClO 5.25% . Both activated with EDDY.

🗳️Obturation : Gutta combined with bioceramic sealer bioroot.

🔜🔜FOLLOW UP : 8 months later : the radiograph clearly shows bone formation which indicates both success of endodontic treatment and on going healing process.

Note : No calcium hydroxide was used here. It took two appointements to realize the treatment under DOM. 3.3 was and is still vital.
