🏆Very interesting case.
Patient was very concerned about her looks and before coming to us she never would have thought that she could afford to have a beautiful smile. She loves taking pictures, especially selfies, but most of the time she was photoshopping her teeth or never smiled at all during the group photos.
So the whole journey started with a check up, which showed us that she had a gummy smile, her teeth were braided and broken down mostly. We started with a treatment plan and made a mock-up to see how everything will look like at the end , so that the patient has a visual concept. She didn't believe we could manage to make it, so it was even more interesting to work on this case. We did a very big surgery, where we made the teeth longer and the procedure is called crown lengthening. It’s when we cut the area that is affected, open it up and drill away some of the bone and by that we get natural biological width, so that gums don't have any recessions. Key point is to follow biology. After that we removed the frenulum.
When all that was done we let her heal for about 3 months.
Now we had to get on with prosthetics. We prepared all the teeth, very important note that we never took away anything from the height of the teeth, because they were already too damaged, so we just removed a little bit from the sides.

After everything was done we took impressions, waited for their arrival from the lab and I have to admit they came out looking gorgeous. We are very happy that we could change this Woman's life for the better. 🙏

💎Life changing case by Mario Alkhamisi

✳️One of the special cases. An elderly patient came in, who has a Masters in IT and even with his age he continues to give a lot of lectures…Obviously, while meeting so many people on every day basis he felt uncomfortable to smile, to eat and to talk. When the patient came in we established that he didn't want dentures, but there was concern that he didn’t have enough bone for the implants. After all check ups we saw that the bone was thin, but good enough for us to proceed with the surgeries. We managed to place 6 implants in the upper jaw and 4 of them in the lower jaw. We waited for 3 to 4 months for the implants to heal completely and when that was done, we made a bridge and as you can see the results were amazing. Patient finally could start eating, smiling and talking with confidence.

🔵One more case of Bruxism, but not as severe.

Initially, the patient came in for filling, but after having a consultation with our Dr. Mario Al Khamisi, she understood that filling is not an option anymore, as it's keeping on braking and, eventually, the whole bite will be wrong. Doctor recommended crown therapy.

The grinding occurred in the back teeth and it was moving to the front teeth, but since previously the patient had placed 2 crowns in the front, the whole bite was resting on those 2 teeth. Therefore, to get the bite back to its original height we have built up the teeth again and we made temporary teeth for 6 months to ensure that all works well, and afterwards, we replaced them with zirconia.

✳️Patient came in with a desire to change his smile and after check up, we could conclude that he had severe attrition and erosion. We also needed to change the bite, as when the patient bites his bite collapses.

We started with building up his teeth back to their original shape, which will also help us get the bite back. We tried to keep the therapy as less traumatic as we can. The patient had composite teeth for around 2-3 weeks, until we were sure that the temperamental joint is ok. Once we knew everything was intact, we made a provisional teeth which will stay with the patient for 6 months, to determine if everything is working for the patient. Since this case is not over yet, eventually, we will make proper crowns in zirconia that will prevent teeth grinding, as our patient is a bruxer.

This young lady came into the clinic seeking to get her life back, she has been passed around by dentist to no avail.

Patient had a complete dental makeover all on 6 in upper jaw with osteoplasty, and all on 4 in the lower jaw.

It is really touching to change someone's life so much, but the smile says it all. 💙
