Honoured to have delivered a Miniscrews (TADs) Hands-On 6 hours Workshop at the Cairo International Dental Conference 2026.
🔹 Prof Sahar Taher, Head of the Orthodontic Department at Cairo University, graciously inaugurated the day with a warm and inspiring welcome speech. The workshop brought together 20 dedicated participants for an intensive day combining evidence-based lectures and clinical hands-on training.
We covered key topics including:
• Criteria for optimal miniscrew selection
• Accurate bone thickness assessment using CBCT
• Step-by-step protocols for Infrazygomatic Crest (IZC) and Mandibular Buccal Shelf (MBS) screw insertion
• Ideal miniscrew positioning for MARPE
• Decision-making between 2 vs 4 miniscrew MARPE designs
• Clinical concepts of TAD-first vs TAD-last approaches in MARPE
Closing space of congenitally missing second premaolrs by TADs instead of implants
🔹 The hands-on session allowed participants to translate theory into practice, focusing on precision, safety, and clinical efficiency.
