The meeting began with us welcoming attendees and discussing the challenges of online learning. We then led a discussion on complete denture subjects, including clinical examinations, patient psychology, and educating patients on overdentures. The importance of selecting cases carefully and planning in advance when considering overdentures was stressed on.We covered a comprehensive overview of implant solutions for overdentures, abutment and prosthetic components, and attachment options.
The meeting also covered the roles and responsibilities of the prosthodontist and surgeon in treatment planning and coordination for implants, dentures and abutments. We provided a detailed overview of the options for abutment and prosthetic components for overdentures, including the advantages and disadvantages of each type from the perspective of a case study.
Finally, we presented a comprehensive guide to clinical workflows for implant retained overdentures, covering seven different techniques for integrating prosthetic parts into the denture.
