Rubber Dam isolation is not an option; it’s mandatory when it comes to a any successful Root Canal Treatment or other procedures such as adhesive fillings (composite fillings).
Here are just some of the benefits of using Rubber Dam 😊
*It eliminates the presence of saliva.
*It provides an optimal dry sterile field.
*it eliminates the presence of water v***r in the patients breath which can affect the bonding procedure in restorative and esthetic work.
*It protects the patient from accidental swallowing and or injury from instruments or debris.
*It protects the patient’s oral tissues from the harmful effects of the irrigating solutions mostly used to clean and disinfects the canal system during Root Canal Treatment.
*It provides the dentist with a better and clearer view of the operating field without the interference of the cheek or tongue especially in the lower jaw.

It was quite a challenge!
Lower right fist molar with a huge peri- apical infection due to a previous faulty root canal treatment..
It took 2 visits to negotiate the calcified canals in the mesial root..
Treatment was done under rubber dam isolation with copious irrigation and ultrasonic activation of the irrigating solutions (EDETA, Saline & heated NAOCL were used)………🪄🪄Saved 😊
