A 9 yo Female Patient presented with Redish exophytic lesion, soft consistency,
Related to unerubted teeth (44) & (45) FDI & (E).

Radipgraphic examination showed reduction in bone level at the Pre-Molar area.

Extraction of (E) done and Complete resection of the lesion was performed under Local Anesthesia followed by curettage.

Biopsy was taken, noted that the lesion bleed profusely, controlled by physical pressure.

Histological analysis showed the presence of Peripheral Giant Cell Granuloma.

And the patient was recalled a 10 days later for intralesional corticosteroid injections which will be used every two weeks in the upcoming months.
__________________________
Peripheral giant cell granuloma (PGCG) is a non-neoplastic lesion representing a local hyperplastic reaction to injury or inflammation. It is known to be a reactive soft tissue lesion that develops only within the oral cavity, with a slightly predilection for female s*x.
The usual localization for PG is the premolar region and the crest of the edentulous ridge.
Management:
(1) Surgery is currently the most common proposed treatment for GCL in the literature. Ranges from simple curettage to aggressive en-bloc resection, which can lead to significant facial disfiguration.
(2) Intralesional Corticosteroid injections can avoid extensive surgeries and successfully manage GCL.
