I still reach for a pencil when I’m planning a case.

There’s something about putting the case on paper that helps me slow down and really think.

I start sketching the anatomy the implant position the available bone the prosthetic goal...

And gradually the treatment plan starts to take shape.

It gives me the space to question my first idea visualize different possibilities and think through the details before making a clinical decision.

Over the years I’ve learned that treatment planning is as much about "how you think" as it is about what you see.

And sometimes a simple drawing is where that thinking becomes clear.

One of the special invitations to a scientific event I’ve ever received… especially when it comes from Yousef Salem 🩵

I always try my best to participate whenever I can. And that’s simply because I truly appreciate the people behind these events and the effort they put into creating meaningful scientific experiences.

Thank you A&H for the kind invitation to the Dentsply Sirona Summit.

It was a remarkable scientific experience bringing together the latest technologies across different dental subspecialties, along with insightful panel discussions featuring our eminent professors and their inspiring success stories.

I also had the pleasure of attending a workshop by Dr. Elie Maalouf where he shared his approach to the digital workflow in complete mouth rehabilitation with implant-supported restorations .. a valuable session full of practical insights and contemporary digital concepts.

A wonderful combination of science, experience, innovation, and inspiration. ✨

One of the most satisfying moments in implant dentistry can be summed up in two simple words:

𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝘁.

That moment when the screw retained framework sits perfectly on the implants smoothly, without tension, pressure, or resistance.

For the implantologist, it’s a moment of reassurance.
For the patient, it means comfort, stability, and confidence.

In implant dentistry, success is not only about placing the implant correctly.
It’s also about paying attention to the small details that make the final result predictable and long-lasting.

Two inspiring days at IDCE, and I’m truly impressed by the outcome and the remarkable level of the graduates.

It was amazing to see how Prof. Ahmed Abouelfettouh’s vision has come to life through this level of excellence and dedication.

I’m genuinely happy and honored to have been invited to such a great event, bringing together clinicians at different stages of their careers .. from interns and young dentists to experienced clinicians, experts, and professors.

I truly enjoyed these two days: reconnecting with my professors and colleagues, meeting new people, and building meaningful new connections.

And above all, having Prof. Ahmed Abouelfettouh as a role model is something I’m truly honored to experience and follow.

Thank you, IDCE, for two inspiring and enriching days. 💙

𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐃𝐚𝐲

Before I start any dental treatment, I need to understand the patient in front of me, not just the tooth.
Medical history, existing conditions, medications, diagnosis, and the overall clinical picture can all influence how a treatment plan should be approached.
And that’s why, to me, patient safety is not a step added to treatment.
It is part of the clinical thinking that comes before it.

A safe treatment plan starts with asking the right questions, identifying potential risks, and making decisions based on the patient as a whole, not just the problem that brought them to the clinic.
On World Patient Safety Day, this is a reminder I find especially important:
Good dentistry is not only about choosing the right treatment.
It’s also about making sure it is the right treatment for the patient.
