The root canals were completely due to heavy calcification, making the retreatment extremely challenging.

Patient was told “Extraction may be necessary”

In this retreatment case, the fractured file was located deep within the apical third of the canal, making conventional retrieval challenging.

Instead of aggressive dentin removal, the ultrasonic tips were utilized to create circumferential space around the separated file under high magnification.

The separated file is then bypassed and successfully retrieved by the “Snake-like” XP-endo Shaper.
