From guided surgery to definitive full-arch rehabilitation. 🦷
A complete full-arch rehabilitation of both the maxilla and mandible, following the same prosthetically driven digital workflow for each arch.
⚠️ Some photos are missed but the same workflow was followed for the maxillary and mandibular arches
Preoperative intraoral scans were obtained to record and preserve the patient’s existing vertical dimension of occlusion (VDO) and serve as a digital reference throughout the rehabilitation.
The case started with 3-piece stackable surgical guides, followed by implant placement and intraoperative scanning using multi-unit scan bodies.
After multi-unit abutment selection and final torquing, an acrylic verification jig was used to confirm implant positions. The sleeves were rigidly splinted using dual-cure composite resin, allowing verification and correction of any positional discrepancies.
An immediate PMMA provisional restoration was delivered, serving as both the immediate restoration and prosthetic try-in. A cobalt-chromium bar with PMMA veneering was then used for rigid splinting during the healing phase.
After three months, photogrammetry was performed using the Shining 3D system to accurately capture the implant positions for the definitive prosthetic workflow.
A PMMA try-in was performed, followed by necessary modifications and a second try-in to verify the corrected fit and prosthetic parameters.
The definitive restoration consisted of a titanium bar with a zirconia superstructure layered with E.max. The final shade was selected according to the patient's preference.
After final verification, both arches were definitively inserted.
A multidisciplinary, prosthetically driven workflow combining surgical precision, digital accuracy, systematic verification, and patient-centered esthetics.
