Here’s the journey of our D4 dental student all the way from Miami, Florida!! 🇺🇸

“I have been in the Dominican Republic for the past 3 and a half years now, and have been blessed with the opportunity to gain an education in this country. These past years have been challenging, yet, I have found them to be the most rewarding years of my life thus far. I am grateful, and consider myself to be lucky, for the knowledge and wisdom I have been given, and the transformation I have made from student to professional. I truly believe that I will be taking back home with me everything I need to be successful in this career. The memories created, along with the love and support of my family and friends, have made me realize I have embarked on a journey worth while. For that, I will be forever grateful and always proud!” -Claudia Soria.

Here’s a little bit about our D3 dental student Catherine Monzon's experience 👩🏻‍⚕️

“I have always heard that if one can do the little things right, big things can happen. I came to UNIBE because of the acclaimed reputation it has to transform students into doctors of oral health. For me, this school was just one of the ‘little things’ I needed to do to make big things happen when I become a dentist. I graduated from Florida International University and came directly to UNIBE to start my studies. I am grateful for the challenges I have faced since arriving at the university because I know that they have helped me grow as a person. Thus far, my experiences have shown me how to push forth past obstacles and to continue moving forward. I cherish all the valuable lessons I have been able to learn while studying abroad since they have further fueled me not to just follow my dreams, but passionately chase them. With this mindset, I know that I can make a difference in my patient’s lives. I have grown to learn the power of a smile and its potential to turn a life around. My dream is to become someone that can change lives and this profession has given me that opportunity.” - Catherine Monzon
