This is my FAVORITE toothbrush, which I (>25 years practicing dentistry) heartily recommend to my patients (smart, award-winning 🏆German rechargeable oscillating & rotating electric toothbrush, CrossAction head depicted below).

There is always so much emphasis on repairing 🕳 damage to teeth/periodontal tissues in dentistry while effectively PREVENTING the CAUSE of it all is seemingly not getting through to most people. Aside from orthodontic issues, aggressive BACTERIA 🦠 (imbedded in a biofilm) are responsible for maybe 85% of the defects we treat, so why not remove them effectively with this system?

It is widely available, affordable and does an excellent job. For me, having my (previously treated) patients use this brush correctly (3 minutes [!] twice a day, covering the gumline and additionally using a multifilament floss, of course) it is/has been virtually a guarantee for attaining/maintaining a healthy dental situation. So, let’s remove 🗝 this biofilm - your teeth will thank you for it (- and generations of dentists will have to dwell in less luxury from now on...)

My personal 🌹valentine today is ~ Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen ~ who gave medicine this fantastic diagnostic tool over a hundred years ago. He is absolutely to be admired for remaining humble, nature-loving and down-to-earth throughout his life. After winning the first Physics Nobel Prize in history he expressly did not wish to patent his revolutionizing invention in order to make it accessible to the general public - he thought all mankind had a right to profit from his insights. I greatly admire that - are there any attitudes like that left today?

Fissure Sealing = super elegant preventive dentistry! (🦷=🏔)
This is partially filling the deep/narrow grooves and pits of molar and premolar biting surfaces BEFORE the enamel is under constant acid attack due to reduced toothbrush accessibility. By redefining the depths of the fissures we are creating a patient’s 100% hygiene accessibility.
