🇩🇪 Ich bin so froh über kompetente Kollegen. Der heutige Fall zeigt deutlich, wie notwendig die Zusammenarbeit von amb ulant tätigen Techniker und Tierärzten ist. Der nichttierärztliche Kollege hat ein Pferd zur weiteren Diagnostik aufgrund einer hochgradigen Diastase zwischen 109 und 110, einer mittelgradigen Diastase zwischen 209 und 210 und Infindibularkaries Grad 3 an 106, 206, 109, 209 überwiesen.
Die Befundung, als auch die ausbalancierte Zahnbehandlung war hervorragend, wie man an folgenden Videos sehen kann.
Dem Pferd wurde im ersten Schritt der 109 mit einer orosinuidalen\ Fistel gezogen und erholt sich jetzt erst einmal von der ersten Operation und der Nasennebenhöhlenspülung.
Meiner Meinung nach ist die Zusammenarbeit von ambulant arbeitenden professionellen Technikern und Tierärzten mit für Zahn- und Kopfchirurgische ausgebildete Spezialisten ein gelebter Tierschutz
🇲🇾 I am very grateful for competent colleagues. Today’s case clearly demonstrates how essential the cooperation between ambulatory dental technicians and veterinarians is. The non-veterinary colleague referred a horse for further diagnostics due to a severe diastema between 109 and 110, a moderate diastema between 209 and 210, and grade 3 infundibular caries of 106, 206, 109, and 209.
Both the diagnostic assessment and the balanced dental treatment were excellent.
Surgeons who work in clinics do not have the time to go out into the field for routine dental maintenance.
The equine dental technician was able to perform a thorough oral and dental examination using only a simple mirror and good lighting (as well as a trained and experienced eye). He was able to identify all the clinical signs indicating the need to refer the horse to a specialist for further examination and possible extraction.
As a first step, tooth 109, which was associated with an orosinus fistula, was extracted. The horse is now recovering from the initial surgery and the sinus lavage.
In my opinion, cooperation between ambulatory professional technicians and veterinarians, together with specialists trained in dental and head surgery, represents animal welfare in practice.

Le cas d’aujourd’hui montre clairement à quel point la collaboration entre les techniciens dentaires équine (TDE) ambulants et les vétérinaires est indispensable. Le TDE a referré un cheval pour examen complémentaire en raison d’un diastème sévère entre 109 et 110, d’un diastème modéré entre 209 et 210, ainsi que de caries infundibulaires de grade 3 sur les dents 106, 206, 109 et 209.
Les chirurgiens qui travaillent en clinique n’ont pas le temps d’aller sur le terrain pour les soins dentaires d’entretien.
Le TDE a été capable d’effectuer un examen buccal et dentaire approfondi avec un simple miroir et une bonne lumière (ainsi qu’un œil éduqué et expérimenté). Il a su repérer l’ensemble des signes cliniques indiquant la nécessité de référer le cheval à un spécialiste pour un examen complémentaire et une possible extraction.
L’interprétation des examens, tout comme l´équilibration, ont été excellents.
Dans un premier temps, la dent 109, associée à une fistule oro sinusale, a été extraite. Le cheval se remet actuellement de cette première intervention ainsi que du lavage des sinus.
À mon avis, la collaboration entre techniciens professionnels travaillant sur le terrain et vétérinaires, en lien avec des spécialistes formés en chirurgie dentaire et maxillo-faciale, représente un véritable engagement en faveur du bien-être animal.
