We recommend starting dental checkups for your child as soon as the first baby tooth erupts!

Early non invasive visits help your child feel comfortable and safe in the dental chair, therefore preventing or reducing future anxiety. Furthermore, early dental visits can also help us monitor your child's dental development and intervene early when necessary (e.g. for orthodontic reasons).

Children are allowed one dental clean/fluoride placement/preventative advice a year by GESY.

REMEMBER: Regular dental check ups are just as important for children as they are for adults.

Chewing sugar-free gum, especially after meal times, increases salivary flow rate. Saliva is the mouth's natural defence as it neutralizes acids and supplies calcium and phosphate to promote tooth remineralization.

Note: Sugar free gum is not an alternative to brushing and flossing but an adjunct to daily oral hygiene. It is especially beneficial in patients who are high caries risk or patients who suffer from xerostomia (dry mouth).
