In August, I had the OPPORTUNITY TO SHADOW DR BÜLENT HAYDAR,
DDS, MS, one of Cyprus’s most respected orthodontists. Dr Haydar is the founder of the Orthodontics Treatment Center (https://lnkd.in/dw9iDJRA) and leader of a dental team. For more than twenty years, the centre has maintained a strong reputation for its exceptional service. This experience was particularly meaningful to me because I did not enter the clinic as a stranger. For five years, I was treated by Dr Haydar for a skeletal Class III malocclusion, an underdeveloped and narrow maxilla, and a congenitally missing upper tooth that had left a space in my maxillary arch. Through Dr Haydar’s patience, precision and uncompromising attention to detail, I gradually saw not only my teeth but also my facial balance and confidence transform. I would not be exaggerating to say that he was the person who inspired my interest in dentistry. Having travelled MY PATH from the challenges of treatment to its rewards, I developed a deep appreciation for the profession. I participate in several volunteering projects in which we often discuss how individuals can make a positive difference and how every effort matters. Yet few forms of impact are as visible and tangible as the outcome of carefully planned orthodontic treatment. It was deeply satisfying to see the before-and-after photographs of Dr Haydar’s patients and witness how transformations influence how a person speaks, smiles and presents themselves to the world, and I believe this is a genuine way of MAKING A DIFFERENCE. As a patient, I had mainly noticed the treatment itself. As an observer, I began to recognize the extensive work taking place behind it. I saw how much Dr Haydar invests in maintaining HIGH CLINICAL STANDARDS:
