🦊Here with our little friend, we're counting the teeth of the animals, using the mirror and turning the dental examination into a game.🐾
📝👩⚕️A dental examination might seem simple to us, but for children—especially during their first visit—it can be something scary. The Tell-Show-Do technique often helps our young friends feel more comfortable before sitting in the chair. We describe in simple words what we’re going to do (“we’re going to count the teeth with the little mirror,” “we’ll clean the teeth with the toothbrush,” etc.), then we show it on their hand so they can feel what’s coming next, and finally, we “do” it in the mouth.
🧚♀️💫With this and other techniques, we try to help kids love us and not be afraid of us (well… not too much at least😅).

🦊Εδώ με τη φίλη μας μετράμε τα δόντια στα ζωάκια με το καθρεφτάκι και κάνουμε την οδοντιατρική εξέταση παιχνίδι. 🐾
📝👩⚕️Η οδοντιατρική εξέταση μπορεί να μας φαίνεται τόσο απλή αλλά για τα παιδιά, ειδικά στη πρώτη επίσκεψη, είναι κάτι που μπορεί να τα τρομάζει. Η τεχνική Λέω-Δείχνω-Κάνω βοηθάει συχνά τους μικρούς μας φίλους να νιώσουν πιο άνετα πριν καθίσουν στην καρέκλα. Περιγράφουμε με απλές λέξεις τι πρόκειται να κάνουμε ("θα μετρήσουμε τα δόντια με το καθρεαφτάκι" , "θα καθαρίσουμε τα δόντια με την οδοντόβουρτσα" κλπ) , μετά το δείχνουμε στο χεράκι για να μπορέσουν να νιώσουν τι θα ακολουθήσει και μετά το "κάνουμε" στο στόμα.
🧚♀️💫Με αυτήν και άλλες τεχνικές προσπαθούμε να κάνουμε τα παιδάκια να μας αγαπήσουν και να μη μας φοβούνται (όχι πολύ τουλάχιστον😅)
