Why is it recommended to use a mouthwash on a daily basis?

- Fresher breath
- Wash away particles and clean bacteria
- Reduce the risk of plaque buildup
- Prevent or fight against gum disease
- Reduce tooth decay
- Heal canker sores
A mouthwash should be an addition to daily dental routine but not a replacement of brushing and flossing. It is recommended that a therapeutic mouthwash is used instead of a cosmetic one for boosting oral hygiene.

Γιατί συνιστάται η χρήση στοματικού διαλύματος επί καθημερινής βάσεως;

How often do I need to change my toothbrush?
It is recommended that a manual toothbrush is replaced every 3 to 4 months. If used for much longer, then its bristles will be damaged and it won’t be effective at clearing plaque and bacteria. The head of an electric toothbrush should be changed every 12 weeks as it has shorter bristles than a manual toothbrush.

Πόσο συχνά πρέπει να αλλάζω την οδοντόβουρτσα μου;

When should I start brushing my baby’s teeth?

It is recommended to start brushing as soon as the baby’s teeth are out using a soft-bristled baby toothbrush.
Why?
-Destroyed baby teeth can intrude with good nutrition and speech development
-If decayed baby teeth fall out, there is not a proper place for new teeth, which can cause teeth misalignment

Πότε πρέπει να αρχίσω να βουρτσίζω τα δόντια του μωρού μου;

Γιατί;

Did you know?
Teeth are the only part of the human body that can’t self-repair. They are covered with enamel, which is not a living tissue.
