CONGRATULATIONS TO THE BILSKI FAMILY!!! You are our Host Family of the year!!! We also want to congratulate this year’s runner-ups, the BIEGERT-REDMOND FAMILY and the ROBINSON FAMILY!!! Thank you to ALL of our Au Pairs and Host Families that have participated. The true win is sharing this amazing cultural exchange experience. Thank you for letting us be a part of it!!
I want to tell about my experience and my year as an Au Pair, all families deserve to be awarded for giving us a great opportunity to learn about their culture and their language, make the decision to be part of this family helping with the care of their three small ones.I want to fulfill a great dream in my life to travel and to know this country and to learn English.my family has been very special since I received your message by email, describing why I wanted an Au Pair since there were two twins on the way, they wrote me as I was the process of the small ones that were about to be born my host mom sent me a nice photo when Audrey and Lydia were born, I was still in Colombia when I received the great news that they were born, my host family send me photos of the babies and Sam before I arrived in Minnesota we talked on Skype and met Sam and the babies for the first time I arrived a month and a half later when they were at home.I want to nominate my family as the best of the year because this time I have shared many special moments together highlight that they have many qualities and are a great family always make things work for everyone at home are very organized always doing each day a great team, my host family has many details and that makes this stage in my life very enriching, they are always aware of me, they have taught me how their culture is in their country of origin and also very important in relation to the language , since my level of English was basic and my family had a lot of consideration about it, and that day by day I have been improving. It was a great change for them to have someone at home in a different language and to be able to understand me the first few months but I know that they are now very happy with me appreciating my work and feel very grateful to help them.Sam, Audrey, Lydia are my three small host they make my days the happiest, children have had many changes of stages in their growth.Sam is the big brother he loves his two sisters although he is very small he is a very intelligent boy he is always looking for his sisters and of me the four of us share many things together we make a great team, we go for a walk, we play paint, my family always Ask me how my day was with the kids. They are very happy because I do a great job.The children love me so much the girls are starting to walk it is a stage a little complicated but I feel very happy to be in this nice family they make me feel like in my house always.I am very grateful that they have considered me to take responsibility for the care of their children, for me it has been a beautiful experience to be able to share with my three little ones and with my host family.
