When we think about a healthy smile, our teeth usually get most of the attention—but healthy gums are just as important!

Your gums provide important support for your teeth, and changes in their health can sometimes be easy to overlook. That’s why it’s important to pay attention to what your gums may be telling you.

Keep an eye out for signs such as:
🩸 Bleeding when brushing or flossing
🔴 Red, swollen, or tender gums
😮‍💨 Persistent bad breath
🦷 Gums that appear to be pulling away from your teeth
⚠️ Ongoing sensitivity or discomfort around the gumline

If you notice any of these changes, don’t simply ignore them. Bringing them up with your dental team allows us to take a closer look and address potential concerns before they progress.

A 2021 graduate of the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry, Dr. Andrew brings experience, dedication, and a calm, approachable personality to our practice. He believes in taking the time to listen to his patients, clearly explain their care, and help make every visit as comfortable and positive as possible.

Dr. Andrew will be seeing patients on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, and we’re thrilled to have him joining our Smile Solutions family.
