Fluoridated water also strengthens tooth enamel and makes teeth more resistant to decay. So skip the juice and encourage your child to reach for water the next time they are thirsty!

Chewing gum after a meal stimulates saliva flow, which can wash away food particles, neutralize decay-causing acids produced by bacteria, and strengthen enamel.
