A patient presented with an upper implant bridge that had been placed many years ago at another clinic, reporting discomfort in the area. A CBCT scan revealed that the implants supporting the bridge were failing. There was a significant chronic infection around both implants, appearing as large cystic lesions extending up to the floor of the nose.
Our treatment plan involved removing the failed implants and bridge, followed by thorough debridement and removal of granulation tissue. Bone augmentation was then performed using the patient’s platelet-rich plasma.
Watch this reel for a detailed explanation of the procedure, and stay tuned for the final results.

Every patient journey is unique, and this case is a great example of how thoughtful planning can create new possibilities.

This patient came to us with advanced periodontitis, including significant bone loss in the lower front teeth. Unfortunately, the remaining lower incisors had a hopeless prognosis, so we focused on building a strong foundation for implants.

Using a CBCT scan, we carefully evaluated the bone dimensions and developed a precise treatment plan.

After gently removing the compromised teeth, we thoroughly cleaned the area with curettage of all inflammatory tissue and prepared the graft site. Tenting screws were placed to help guide and support new bone growth. We incorporated the patient’s own platelet-rich growth factor (PRGF) to support healing. A combination of freeze-dried bone graft and plasma was used to create what’s often called “sticky bone,” helping improve stability and regeneration.followed by a titanium-reinforced PTFE membrane to protect the graft. Careful tissue management using periosteal release allowed us to achieve a secure, tension-free primary closure-an important factor for optimal healing.

Over the next six months, we’ll allow the bone to regenerate before reassessing with another CBCT scan and planning for implants.

We’re excited to support this patient every step of the way toward a healthier, stronger smile.

This patient came to us with advanced localized periodontitis, including significant bone loss in the lower front teeth. Unfortunately, the remaining lower incisors had a hopeless prognosis, so we focused on building a strong foundation for long-term success and future placement of implants.

A Smile Story Years in the Making. Daisy first came to Ashraf Dentistry as a child with congenitally missing two front lateral incisor teeth and cross-bite of her upper right central incisor— a condition that can make anyone self-conscious at a young age. Over the years, our team had the privilege of caring for her as she grew, guiding her through every stage of her smile journey. We did orthodontic treatment (braces) for her as a teenager to provide the proper spacing for her missing upper lateral incisors.

To complete her smile, after the age of 18, we started our implant planning with a CT scan and determined that we needed to do bone grafting. After 6 months of bone graft healing, implants were placed. Every detail — from the contours of the crowns to the exact shade of the porcelain — was customized to blend seamlessly with her natural teeth.

The result? A radiant, perfectly natural-looking smile that reflects years of dedication, teamwork, and trust.

Dr. Ashraf is deeply grateful for the trust Daisy and her family have placed in him and the practice over all these years. Witnessing her transformation from a child to a confident young woman has been a truly special journey — and a reminder of what makes dentistry so rewarding: the lasting impact it can have on a person’s life.
