It is with profound sadness that we share the news of the sudden passing of our esteemed dentist, Dr. Muir. We understand that this loss may bring about feelings of shock and uncertainty for you, our valued patients, and we want you to know that we are here for you during this difficult time.

Dr. Muir joined our team at Cresta Dental in 1990. He was an avid hockey player, golfer, gardener, and world traveller. He was known for his kindness, generosity, humour, and wonderful personality; many friends, patients, and colleagues loved him. All of us will truly miss him.

During this challenging time, we assure you that our practice remains committed to serving your dental needs. We understand that continuity of care is essential, and we are working diligently to ensure that your ongoing treatment plans are smoothly transitioned.

Rest assured, our team of dedicated and experienced dentists is fully prepared to step in and continue providing you with the exceptional standard of care that you have come to expect from us.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns about your dental care or upcoming appointments. Our team is here to support you during this transition and beyond.

While we appreciate your concern and support, please refrain from contacting us with personal questions about Dr. Muir’s passing. Our team is working tirelessly to manage the transition and address immediate concerns.

We offer our deepest condolences to Dr. Muir’s family, friends, and loved ones. His presence will be greatly missed, but his legacy of compassionate care will live on in the hearts of those he touched.

Thank you for being so understanding and continued trust in our practice.

🎉 A Fond Farewell to Two Pillars of Cresta Dental 🎉

As we turn the pages to a new chapter at Cresta Dental, we bid adieu to two of our most cherished colleagues, Dr. Adrian Luckhurst and Dr. Rob Muir, as they embark on their well-deserved retirement journey.

Dr. Luckhurst, the visionary founder of Cresta Dental, is hanging up his dental tools after an incredible career. Since opening the doors of Cresta Dental in 1983, Adrian has been the bedrock of our practice, inspiring us with his dedication and pioneering spirit. His unwavering commitment has not only shaped the smiles of countless patients but has also built the very foundation on which our office stands today.

Joining in this milestone farewell is Dr. Rob Muir, who has been a beacon of warmth and professionalism since 1990. Rob's unparalleled ability to make patients and coworkers feel at ease has made him a favourite within the Cresta family. His kindness and expertise have left an indelible mark on our hearts and our practice.

As we express our heartfelt gratitude to Adrian and Rob, we celebrate the legacy of heart, soul, and leadership they've embedded in the fabric of Cresta Dental. Their contributions will forever be a part of our story, and their absence will be deeply felt.

🦷😁 Smile Bright with These 5 Dental Care Tips! 😁🦷

At Cresta Dental, we're committed to helping you keep that sparkling smile. Here are our top five tips to ensure your teeth are at their healthiest:

1️⃣ Brush Daily with Fluoride: Brush your teeth twice a day using a fluoride toothpaste. This strengthens enamel and helps ward off cavities.

2️⃣ Floss Like a Boss: Floss daily to remove food particles and plaque from between teeth, where a toothbrush can't reach. It's the secret to a perfect smile!

3️⃣ Time for a New Brush?: Replace your toothbrush every 3-4 months or when the bristles appear worn. A fresh brush ensures effective cleaning.

4️⃣ Choose Smart Snacks: Limit sugary drinks and snacks, as they can lead to tooth decay. Opt for healthy alternatives like water and fresh fruits. 🍏🍇💧

5️⃣ Regular Dental Visits: Don't forget to visit us regularly for check-ups and cleanings. Early detection of dental issues can prevent major problems down the line.

👨‍⚕️ Book your next appointment today, and let us help you keep that smile bright and healthy! Contact us at (250) 384-7711 or visit our website www.crestadental.ca.

Halloween is coming up, a sugary-delight for the kids - here's a few tips to help keep their dental health in mind!

📍 water. Water is also good for your mouth and teeth. When you drink water, the sugar that would otherwise stick to your teeth is washed away. It also makes the pH levels in your mouth even out, which sugar tends to do.

📍Avoid candy that is sticky or chewy. Especially sticky candies like gummy bears, caramels, and taffy stick to your teeth and are hard to get off, even if you brush and floss your teeth every day.

📍Avoid these candies because they can stick to your teeth for a long time and speed up tooth decay.

📍Don't eat or drink anything sour. The acid in sour candies hurts tooth enamel and breaks it down quickly.

📍Don't eat long-lasting candies. Hard candy and lollipops stay in your child's mouth for a long time because they take a long time to dissolve. This gives the sugar plenty of time to stick to the teeth and for bacteria to start turning the sugar into acid.

📍Soon after you eat candy, you should brush your teeth. Have your child brush his or her teeth as soon as possible after eating candy to get rid of the bad bacteria.
