A 14-year interdisciplinary rehabilitation.
This patient first presented with generalized dental caries, compromised oral hygiene, missing teeth, failing restorations, and significant functional and aesthetic concerns.
Treatment was completed in phases:
• Disease control and stabilization
• Composite restorations of the anterior dentition
• Initial orthodontic treatment with an orthodontist
• Transition to Invisalign after orthodontic treatment was interrupted
• Periodontal health and oral hygiene optimization
• Full-mouth rehabilitation with IPS e.max lithium disilicate restorations
Despite interruptions in treatment and additional restorative challenges, the goal remained the same: preserve natural tooth structure whenever possible while establishing a healthy, stable, functional occlusion.
Although implant therapy remains a future option to replace missing teeth, this rehabilitation restored function, aesthetics, and long-term stability.
Comprehensive cases like this require careful treatment planning, interdisciplinary collaboration, and a committed patient over many years.
