This year, I learned to practice slowing down and taking the time with everything I do. Working with different clientele and trying to navigate different personalities has also reminded me to stay patient and adaptable.

I am looking forward to meeting new patients and educating them about Dental Hygiene. While hygiene is so important, encouraging patients to visit the Dentist and look after their overall oral health is equally important. Dentistry is a collaborative effort, it's not one sided. It involves multiple professionals working together.

As a clinic that offers Vancouver teeth whitening and dental cleaning, Pearl proudly accepts the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP).

At Pearl, we recognize how the Canadian Dental Care Plan has transformed access to affordable dental services for millions of Canadians, and the 2026 renewal window is now open. Unlike some government programs, CDCP doesn’t automatically renew. If you’re currently enrolled in CDCP, you must proactively renew enrollment to confirm ongoing eligibility. Patients who want to continue CDCP must reapply between April 15 and June 1, 2026, to maintain coverage for the upcoming benefit year.

If you miss the June 1st deadline, your CDCP coverage will end June 30th, 2026. Any dental cleaning or work required after that won’t be covered–or reimbursed–until you submit a new application. Applications and renewals can be completed online through your My Service Canada Account, by phone at 1-833-537-4342, or in person at any Service Canada office. Before renewing, make sure you’ve filed your 2025 tax return and received your Notice of Assessment, as your adjusted family net income determines both eligibility and co-payment rates.

Here are 3 times to change your toothbrush:
1️⃣ SPLAYED BRISTLES: If the bristles are all worn out, they’re barely cleaning your teeth (plus lighten up on the brushing pressure).
