This lovely patient, who has a fear of going to the dentist, came to see me right after returning from a sunny trip. She mentioned that she didn’t like how her teeth appeared in photos and wanted to change that. While she wasn’t ready for veneers yet, she wanted her teeth to look whiter. I discussed the bonding option with her, which is similar to getting fillings. It was a quick and affordable transformation, and she was ecstatic with the result! Her natural teeth had been eroded due to acid wear and bite forces, and bonding helped restore their appearance beautifully.

A stitch in time saves 9. Or, in this case, $4500. This is the reminder patients need to see as encouragement to visit their dentist on a regular basis. Get in for the hygiene visit and hopefully you will not need more that a filling, hopefully just a future hygiene appointment.

love this hike in the summer! The view from the top is spectacular, with a green ocean view and colorful kites flying over the water. There’s never a dull moment; you stay entertained with climbing steps, going uphill and downhill, using ladders, and chain climbing. It’s definitely not a boring hike, especially when topped off with a swim in the lake afterwards.

Do you see the crack lines? This is the reason that I recommend old amalgam fillings to be replaced. It’s not for cosmetic reason. It’s more for functional & health reasons. Over time the tooth develops crack under the existing fillings and the functional part of the tooth fractures off. This crack line was not visible on the outer surface of the tooth. The bonus of replacing the filling or getting an onlay on the tooth is a mercury free tooth that would last for a long time! 🦷
