🌞Moss Dental Studio is taking a well deserved and much needed break for 2 weeks starting now! Here’s a picture of our team.
🌞The work we do at MDS is only possible when all 4 of us show up and work hard together each and every day. So now, we break together, and recharge, so we can keep on doing it.

She’s the one who really got the message through my head that rest and recovery is crucial to success, and taught me how to plan and build this time into my annual schedule so that I never feel guilty or need to worry about the health of my business during a break. Thank you, Christina!

This is me, becoming a Kois Center graduate last month! I have so many thoughts and feelings about this I don’t really know how to get it down in a post. Suffice it to say that spending weeks away from my family and dental practice, so that I could spend hundreds of hours learning directly from the GOAT, the one and only Dr. John Kois, has been the greatest, most significant thing I have done for my career to date.

My journey began long before I had ever attended the Center. It seemed that every time I met a dentist who I respected as a person and as a practitioner, it turned out they had done their advanced training at the Kois Center. I learned more and discovered that the philosophy of dentistry as comprehensive care, following protocols based on science rather than trends, suited me very much.

When I opened Moss Dental Studio in 2018, I knew I would finally be able to practice dentistry in a way that was true to my heart, and I soon began to study at the Kois Center. Four and a half years and a whole lot of work later, here we are.

If you are a dentist reading this, I think you already understand the impact that John Kois has had on our profession and how learning from him changes your outlook on dentistry for the better, forever.

If you are a patient reading this, you can expect more of the same, but better:

A huge thank you to John Kois, all of the crew at the , the mentors and clinical instructors who are so dedicated to teaching and have helped me so much along the way, and to the other amazing, inspired dentists who I have met. I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for us!

Staining, wear, spacing, and an unhappy patient. ☹️. He wanted a change but didn’t feel ready for porcelain veneers. We opted for the injection molding technique of composite bonding which ticked a lot of boxes for this patient. It isn’t perfect and it isn’t everything but it was perfect for him and gave him everything he wanted, for now. 😁 Oh, actually, he wanted me to go back in and close up that black triangle between the 2 front teeth, which I did and NOW he has everything he wants 😉. Just need to grab a 📸 the next time he’s in!
I wouldn’t choose this option for every patient but I love it in this instance. A real upgrade, in my opinion.

Having great role models and mentors is a must for me. I have known Sam forever (he literally went to elementary school with my mother!) and when I moved back to Vancouver after dental school, he was one of the first to take me under his wing. I am lucky to have him to look up to as a role model as a dentist and as a person. Thanks for visiting me today, . It made my day! 🦷😷
