In open bites, Tongue Stars are applied to remind the tongue to retract for rapid open bite correction. With Aligners Tongue Stars are made of lingual attachment protrusions then punctured creating shards to remind the tongue to retract. Aligner Bite Blocks are made with attachments in the upper and lower central grooves from first premolar to second molar to further intrude the posterior teeth used with Aligner Tongue Stars and Aligner Cut-Outs for box-pattern elastics to correct open bites.

7 exciting new appliances: The JVBarre with medium 60z elastics rotates and pushes molars back to reduce headgear. A high mid-hook on the curved barre closer to the molar center of resistance favors molar translation and places indirect force on the canine. The BT2s are used with JVBs to unlock the molars. Lower profile self-ligation produce a matrix of lower moments of forces, and the NiTi clips use light, continuous forces in the second phase. JV Nano Hooks extend from the distal of the upper laterals for box-pattern elastics.
