GUEST SPEAKER - Dr. Adrian J. Palencar
MUDr, MAGD, IBO, FADI, FPFA, FICD
Biography:
Dr. Adrian J. Palencar graduated from Komensky University with the degree of Doctor of Universal Medicine, specialty Stomatology in Bratislava, Slovakia. He was recertified at the University of Western Ontario, Canada in 1970. Dr. Palencar is a Master of the AGD, a Diplomate of the IBO, a Fellow of the Academy of Dentistry International, a Fellow of the Pierre Fouchard Academy and a Fellow of the International College of Dentists. Dr. Palencar received his IAO Pinsker Award in 2003. He was an IBO Examiner from 2005 – 2014. In addition, Dr. Palencar is an IAO Master Senior Instructor, IAO Education Committee Examiner and a Consultant to the IJO and Spectrum Ortho. He has been an Assistant Instructor to Rondeau Seminars for the past 20 years.
Dr. Palencar is a published author of fourteen articles, co-author of one article. He also authored thirty-three IAO Monthly Tips and he is a published author of 369-page manual “Case Finishing” for Rondeau Seminars.
SEMINAR OVERVIEW AND MEETING DETAILS
Course Description:
The speaker will be presenting interesting, and challenging cases. Some of them were verbalized and published in the International Journal of Orthodontics. The presented cases will entail a melange of TM dysfunction treatment - after the therapeutic position was crystalized, tooth transposition cases, cases treated with the assistance of Temporary Anchorage Device (TAD, Miniscrew). The presenter will also introduce the audience to the Micro osteo-perforation (MOP) technique. Following the conclusion of this presentation the attendees will have learned the principles and the protocol for stable finishing of patients with TM dysfunction. They also will have learned the indications and placement techniques of TADs and the advantages of accelerated orthodontic treatment with the assistance of the Micro osteo-perforation technique.
