Today there is a growing awareness that dental health and total body health are not two separate entities but are somehow intimately connected. The holistic view is that what affects one-part affects the whole. If I stub my toe and the injury persists for a while, I may compensate by shifting my weight when walking and before long develop neck and jaw pain. This is a simplistic example but there are dental conditions that we once thought of as restricted to just the mouth but that have far reaching consequences. So, with that in mind here are a couple do’s and don’ts https://www.beachvillagedentistry.ca/2022/11/10/taking-the-holistic-view/

To all our Valued Patients,

Welcome Back!! We are open again!!

We are happy to say that we will be able to see patients again beginning Monday, July 6, 2020.

In keeping with the most current infection prevention and control guidelines established by the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario and Public Health, we have incorporated additional measures within the practice to ensure the health and safety of both our patients and our team.

Here is the new dental protocol:

1. Only symptom-free patients will be booked. At the time of booking the appointment, you will be asked screening questions which will be repeated on arrival at the office.

2. The number of patients within the office will be strictly limited so please be punctual and come alone unless you require special assistance. You may have to wait outside or in your car until your appointment is called.

3. Please come with a mask or face covering, if not, one can be provided for you.

4. Before entering, your temperature will be checked, and after using hand sanitizer you will complete an in-office screening form.

5. Sorry, but we can no longer offer magazines or books or toys for the children and ask that you limit washroom use.

6. Please bring your coat into the treatment room, where you will be given a pre-treatment antibacterial oral rinse.
We assure you that each staff member receives the same daily health screening and temperature check and for everyone’s safety we will be using personal protective equipment.

7. The treatment rooms have been further isolated and have HEPA filtration units to reduce any aerosol generated by dental procedures.

We deeply appreciate your understanding while we were closed. While some things have changed our commitment to our patients and staff health and safety is stronger than ever.

For any questions and to book an appointment please call us at 416-691-4768 or email [email protected].

Yours in Dental Health

To our family of patients:

Thank you for your patience! We miss you!

At this time, our office remains closed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. As many of you are aware, the media has reported that healthcare practices can re-open.

However, our governing body (RCDSO) has not yet formulated guidelines for us to follow. Once these are issued, we will work as quickly as possible to implement to protect and keep safe our valued patients, staff, and families. We hope you all continue to keep well. We can't wait to see you again to resume work on those beautiful smiles!

COVID-19 UPDATE: TEMPORARY OFFICE CLOSURE

Dear Patients,

We have just received notification from the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario advising all dental offices to suspend all non-essential and elective dental services due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This directive is effective immediately and will be re-evaluated in April. Therefore, until further notice, we will be temporarily closing our office.

If you have an appointment scheduled in March please consider it cancelled. We will be in touch to reschedule as soon as we know more details. We are so sorry for the inconvenience this will cause but truly appreciate your understanding and patience during these uncertain times.

We will be monitoring emails during the closure please email: [email protected]. If you have a true dental emergency please email and we will work together.

Thank you so much for your understanding, Beach Village Dentistry
