A symptomatic area of pathology on the mesial side of the root visible on both conventional radiograph as well as CT image. Root was retreated using aggressive activation of the irrigants using the . Post op shows sealer extrusion through a lateral canal into the area of pathology.

Another case demonstrating the value of CBCT imaging. An upper 1st molar with a missed MB2 by the dentist who performed the original endodontic procedure, which otherwise looks fairly well done. Pre-op radiograph and CT images above and 6 month post-ops below.

Lateral canal day today. Last 2 cases of the day both show areas of pathology on the lateral aspect of the root. Post treatment radiograph shows extrusion of sealer through lateral canals leading directly into the area of pathology. 💥💥💥
