Hey Toronto! It's Dr. Iliana here and I wanted to share a quick story from Twogether Dental about how we helped a patient with a broken tooth. In this case, the tooth needed to come out so on the same day, we also placed a dental implant to fill the gap—this little titanium post would eventually act like the root of a brand-new tooth.

Since the implant needs time to heal and fuse with the jawbone (a process called osseointegration), we gave the patient a temporary flipper. It’s a small, removable tooth that kept them smiling confidently while everything healed.

Fast forward a few months, and the implant was ready for the finishing touch—a custom crown. We matched it perfectly to their natural teeth, so it blended right in. Seeing them smile again with total confidence was the highlight of our day!
