🍋 You may have seen or read somewhere that lemon juice can whiten your teeth… but your enamel has entered the chat.

Lemon juice is highly ACIDIC. Repeatedly exposing your teeth to acids can soften and erode enamel over time — and unlike a stain, enamel doesn’t grow back.

So while lemon might be great in your water, it’s not a teeth-whitening treatment.

Not every spot, sore or blemish is something to worry about — but something in your mouth that doesn’t heal or go away deserves a closer look.

A sore, lump, patch, ulcer, or unusual change that lasts for 2 weeks or longer should be checked by a dental professional.

It could be something completely harmless, but the important thing is not to ignore a change that isn’t going away.

Your regular dental visit isn’t just about teeth and gums. Oral cancer screening is part of taking care of your whole mouth.

If something looks or feels different and it’s sticking around, get it checked. ✅

Sometimes “it’s fine” isn’t the goal.

When she pointed out this tooth, our first thought was honestly, “It looks fine.”

But here’s the thing: it wasn’t about what we saw.
It was about what she saw every time she smiled.

The internet loves to tell us we’re enough. And we agree.

You’re enough with the slightly different tooth.
You’re enough before treatment.
You’re enough after treatment.

But being enough doesn’t mean you’re not allowed to want something for yourself.

So we listened.
We talked through the options.

Sugar-free gum can help stimulate saliva and freshen your breath—but it does not clean your teeth just as well as brushing and flossing.

Brushing removes plaque from tooth surfaces, while flossing cleans between your teeth where your toothbrush can’t reach. Gum can be a helpful addition after meals when brushing isn’t convenient, but it shouldn’t replace your daily oral hygiene routine.

So chew gum when you need to—but keep brushing twice a day and flossing daily for a truly clean, healthy smile.
