🦷 Things many toddler parents worry about (and the answers might be simpler than you think) 👇
• “My child hates brushing.”
That’s very common. Try making it playful with songs, timers, or letting them choose their toothbrush.
• “Do cavities in baby teeth matter?”
Yes. Baby teeth help with eating, speech, and guiding adult teeth into place.
• “When should the first dental visit happen?”
Usually by the first birthday or within 6 months of the first tooth appearing.
• “Is thumb sucking bad for teeth?”
Occasional thumb sucking is common in younger children, but long term habits can affect tooth alignment.
• “Why are my child’s teeth coming in crooked?”
Not all early spacing or alignment issues are permanent. Growth changes a lot over time.
• “Does milk or juice before bed affect teeth?”
Yes. Sugary drinks sitting on teeth overnight can increase the risk of cavities.
• “My toddler grinds their teeth while sleeping.”
This can happen in children and is often temporary, but it’s still good to monitor.
• “How much toothpaste should kids use?”
A tiny rice-sized amount is enough for toddlers.
• “Do baby teeth need treatment if they fall out anyway?”
Yes. Ignoring problems early can lead to pain, infections, and future dental issues.
Every child is different, and most parents have these same questions 💙
