🦷 MYTH BUSTING TIME 🦷

Myth: Sugar is the primary cause of cavities.
Reality: It’s not just about sugar 👀

Sugar can definitely cause tooth decay, but it’s not the only thing to blame.

Cavities form when bacteria in your mouth feed on any carbohydrates (not just candy 🍭). That includes things like bread, crackers, pasta, and even fruit. When bacteria break these down, they produce acid that attacks your enamel.

✨ So what actually matters?
✔ How often you’re snacking
✔ How long food sits on your teeth
✔ Your brushing & flossing habits
✔ Saliva (your mouth’s natural defense!)
Even “healthy” snacks can contribute if they stick around on your teeth all day.

Common causes of cavities 🦷
✔ Dry mouth
✔ Frequent snacking
✔Poor oral hygiene
✔Not using the proper toothpaste

💡 Pro tip: Try to limit constant snacking, rinse with water after eating, and keep up with regular cleanings.
